Many companies choose to relocate in Warren County and the surrounding area because of the successful nature of existing businesses, pro-business attitude of the leadership, and its quality workforce.

Warren County has received designations including Better Hometown Community with a certified National Main Street Program, a Community of Opportunity, and an Entrepreneur Friendly Community, all of which create a healthy business environment and promote economic success in the area.

The U.S. Army Cyber Command unit in Fort Gordon isn’t the only organization that turned to Georgia’s eastern-central region to increase its operations and establish headquarters in the highly successful, pro-business area.

Businesses that have relocated or expanded into the area within a 30-mile radius recently include Unisys (700 jobs), Hollander Sleep Products (200 jobs), and Asama Coldwater (120 jobs), bringing 1,020 new jobs into the area.

Excluding government agencies, the top 10 largest employers in the Warren County 30-mile draw area are Shaw Industries, Battle Lumber Co, Walmart, HP Pelzer, The Timbermen, Asama Coldwater Manufacturing, McCorkle Nurseries, Georgia Pacific, Warrenton Health and Rehab, and University Hospital.
